Hydroforming
Hydroforming complex shapes for years
Hydroforming is a longtime specialty of Quality Forming, providing cost-effective shaping of malleable metals into structurally strong pieces.  This process is frequently used in aerospace to replace assemblies, which increases overall structural integrity while saving on material costs and reducing scrap.  QFI is well equipped to efficiently handle the largest as well as the smallest of hydro forming jobs.
From the advanced Verson Wheelon Bladder Hydro Press to the more conventional 750-ton Lake Erie Hydroform/Blanking press, QFI's experienced sheet metal technicians ensure precision part fabrication.

The Quality Forming extensive equipment inventory includes:
  • 10,800-Ton Verson Rubber Bladder Hydro Press, 3 x 10 Foot capacity, which takes multiple dies, and adheres to Lean Process
  • 82 x 144 Inch Platen, 750 Ton Lake Erie Hydroform Press, 22 Foot x 82 Inch capacity
  • 350 Ton Hydroform Box, 20 Foot x 10 Inch capacity

Quality Forming strives to meet the demanding requirements of customers, and QFI's in-house consultants can advise you on the specific equipment that might be used to meet your needs.  The Quality Forming hydro forming hardware can provide your aerospace parts, including ribs, pans, webs, frames, intercostals, and beaded panels.:
